Hello, and Welcome. My name is Vincenzo Sinatra, RN, DC, MS Acupuncture, Fellow American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Certifed Whole Food Clinical Nutritionist (IFNH) and Certified Yoga Instructor, but I’m better known as “Enzo”. I have been in the health field using Nutrition, Acupuncture, and Chiropractic since 1980. When I started studying natural methods of healing, I experienced a very serious healing challenge myself. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 27 after having received a first degree black belt in an Okinawan form of Karate known as “uechi-ryu”. How could I be this sick? was the questionI was asking myself.
This healing challenge was a tremendous learning experience for me because my very foundation of health was being challenged on a daily basis. I was experiencing 10-12 bowel movements/day, I was rapidly losing weight and strength, and could barely eat anything without any food disrupting my digestion. Yet, I persisted in believing that the innate intelligence that created my body could also help it to heal, if I provided the proper environment or conditions for healing to occur.
Keep in mind that I was attending Chiropractic college full time, had a young family, and was working on weekends as a waiter to earn some money while in school. It was all too much to handle. I sought out Naturopaths, Christian Science Healing, Meditation, Stress reduction, Vegetarianism , colonics, etc. I was willing to do anything to be healed. So, with challenges come humility. I knew I needed help and could not do this on my own.
Slowly, with various modalities and natural healers, I started on my road to recovery. After about a year of lifestyle modifications and persistent effort, I was healed. No antibiotics, no cortisone, no medications. Just the healing power of Nature. I haven’t had the symptoms mentioned above for over 40 years.
I want to make one thing clear here. One doesn’t need to believe that Natural methods of Healing do work. One needs to be committed to their application and be willing to change that which is no longer of benefit to us. Sometimes, it is too late and one needs drastic measures to resolve a health issue. This is called surgery and it can be of benefit to those extreme cases. Our bodies are made to serve us well throughout our life given that we do not have replacement parts for our fundamental functions and organs. And yet, we are led to believe that we don’t need a gallbladder, or spleen, or parts of our intestines. The truth is we need all of our organs to function optimally.
As a result of my healing challenge, I understand physical suffering and the tremendous power of our bodies to heal, if given the appropriate information- proper food, rest, relaxation, nutritional support, love, etc. I have learned compassion, patience, empathy, and have a relentless pursuit of knowledge to help my patients on their journey to wellness so that each person that I meet receives the best of care that I expect for myself and my family.
When you become a patient, you will join the family and community of people who prize and enjoy health. Remember, Health is not just the absence of symptoms, but the optimal level of Function possible.
I look forward to meeting you on your journey to optimal health, and together, we will do our best to make this a reality for you, our community, our country, and ultimately, the world. Proudly serving Tucson and the surrounding areas.
