Food serves as the building block with which our bodies’ cells are able to function and duplicate on a regular basis so that optimal  health can be maintained or restored. If we do not provide the body with the proper nutrients, we will not function as well as we can. Therefore, the proper nutrition is absolutely necessary if we are to restore and maintain health and well being. As a result of either ignorance, lack of resources or bad choices made, most of us are suffering from poor nutrition, leading to disastrous consequences of chronic diseases- heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, adult onset diabetes, etc. These are all lifestyle related chronic diseases plaguing the United States and the world at large.

Any doctor that is practicing Functional Medicine today will state that the most important element in healing is related to Lifestyle and what we eat is an integral part of that. Diets come and go in popularity, but what we eat is not a diet as much as it is a way of life. I can help each person make better food choices based on knowledge and experience to fulfill our destiny of maximum health and function.
